The Best ED Rings: Why Design, Comfort and Data Matter
Erection rings have been used for centuries for a simple reason: they work. By restricting venous outflow, a properly designed ring helps keep blood in the penis and maintain a firmer erection. This can be particularly useful for the majority of men who can achieve an erection but have difficulty maintaining it for whatever reason.
But erection rings are not all alike. Three popular options are Eddie by Giddy, FirmTech rings, and RX Sleeve’s Veno Support. Differences in design, ease of use, comfort and technology can significantly affect the experience.
FirmTech rings are easy to put on and remove, comfortable and attractive, and worn penoscrotally—around both the penis and testicles. And TechRing adds something traditional erection rings cannot provide: objective measurement of erectile performance during sex and for overnight nocturnals that are a leading indicator of cardiovascular health.
Why Penoscrotal Design Matters
Most traditional constriction rings are worn only around the base of the penis.
FirmTech rings encircle both the penis and scrotum, creating a secure fit while also providing testicular stimulation that many users find pleasurable.
They can also be put on while the penis is flaccid. Rather than stretching a tight ring over an erection, the FirmTech ring opens, wraps around the penis and testicles, and closes securely.
That makes it easy to put on, adjust and remove—and more practical to incorporate into sex. They can be put on discreetly before getting it on.
TechRing: An Erection Ring That Measures Erections
This is where the TechRing separates itself from ordinary ED rings.
A conventional ring constricts. The TechRing constricts and measures.
Built-in sensors collect objective information about erectile activity, while the FirmTech app allows users to follow erectile performance over time, including nocturnal erections.
That's important because erectile health isn't just about what happens during sex. Men normally experience erections during sleep, and changes in nocturnal erectile activity can provide information that a questionnaire—or someone's memory of sexual performance—cannot.
Instead of relying solely on “I think my erections are getting better,” TechRing provides objective data that can be tracked over time.
What About Overnight Wear?
Traditional constriction rings generally should not be worn for prolonged periods because excessive constriction can interfere with circulation.
The TechRing is different. It was specifically engineered for overnight monitoring, and FirmTech has conducted research demonstrating the safety of the device when worn overnight as directed.
This allows TechRing to measure naturally occurring nocturnal erections—something conventional ED rings cannot do.
Don't Want the Technology?
Not everyone wants sensors, an app or erectile-health tracking. That's why FirmTech also makes non-tech penoscrotal rings.
They provide the same fundamental design advantages—easy application and removal, penoscrotal fit and stimulation—without electronics, at a price comparable to other premium non-tech erection rings.
So FirmTech offers a choice: a simple ring for men interested primarily in enhancing and maintaining erections, or TechRing for men who also want objective information about their erectile health. The Performance ring can be worn overnight. The MaxPR for 90 minutes.

From Measuring Erections to Improving Them
FirmTech didn't start out trying to build a better erection ring. We started by developing the TechRing—a wearable device that could objectively monitor nocturnal erections at home.
In developing it, we discovered something important: the ring wasn't only useful while a man slept. Wearing it during sex could help maintain a firmer erection by slowing blood from leaving the penis.
That led us to recognize how under-appreciated constriction rings are.
Erectile performance depends on both getting blood into the penis and keeping it there. Medications such as Viagra and Cialis primarily help increase blood flow in. A constriction ring helps address the other side of the equation by reducing blood flow out.
This can become increasingly valuable with age. Even men who don't consider themselves to have erectile dysfunction may notice that erections aren't as firm or don't last as long as they once did.
That realization led FirmTech to develop our non-tech penoscrotal rings, providing the benefits of constriction without sensors or monitoring technology.
What began as a way to measure nocturnal erections ultimately led to a broader mission: helping men understand their erections and improve them.
The TechRing measures erectile health. FirmTech rings support erectile performance. And constriction may benefit far more men—especially as they age—than currently realize.
